China certificates Legacy 500

China’s aviation authorities have certificated the Embraer Legacy 500. The Validation of Type Certificate (VTC) means that the company can now begin delivering the aircraft to Chinese customers.

Embraer announced during 2013 that Hong Kong born actor Jackie Chan would be the launch customer for the type in China.

Chan currently operates a Legacy 650 painted in red and gold colours that sashay across the fuselage like a dragon in flight.

“My Legacy 650 is perfect for long trips, and it has everything I need on board,” said Chan. “The Legacy 500 is futuristic and I’m anxious to fly in the real aircraft.”
