DAHER-SOCATA celebrates century of aircraft building
DAHER SOCATA will celebrate 100 years of building aircraft at the EAA AirVenture
DAHER-SOCATA will commemorate 100 years of continuous aircraft production with a series of activities at the EAA AirVenture being held this year from 25 to 31July in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
The company will display the new TBM 850 turboprop aircraft as well as a TBM 700 retrofitted with the new Garmin G1000 glass panel avionics package and a full scale replica of a Morane-Saulnier Type L aircraft.
“We are inviting AirVenture attendees to join our centennial celebration highlighting 100 years of continuous aviation innovation,” said Nicolas Chabbert, president of SOCATA North America.
“They will have the opportunity to see the progress from our roots with Morane-Saulnier’s pioneering aircraft to the latest TBM 850, which covers such advances as introduction of the sliding canopy to the TBM 700 as the first pressurized civilian single-engine turboprop aircraft.”
