Camo4Jets, a leading independent continuing airworthiness management organisation (CAMO), has been authorised to perform Airworthiness Reviews (ARC) and CAMO management for all Cessna Citation and Embraer aircraft.
The company is already authorised to provide CAMO management airworthiness reviews on all Gulfstream aircraft models, all Dassault Falcon models and all Learjet models. It is also authorised to carry out airworthiness reviews on Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier Challenger and Global aircraft.
“Getting any authorisation is a serious commitment but it means we can now offer customers a complete range of aircraft,” says Colin Brickman, Continuing Airworthiness Manager at Camo4Jets who has over 20 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance.
A Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization is responsible for making sure that an aircraft meets the requirements that its aviation authority says are needed in order for the aircraft to be airworthy.
The term was created by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) within Part M of the European Commission Regulation EC No. 2042/2003 (Continuing Airworthiness Requirements). This regulation means that a CAMO is needed for all aircraft based in the European Union as well as jets in Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Norway and Iceland. Aircraft registered in Bermuda or the Cayman Islands also require a CAMO. The Isle of Man aircraft registry and the Registry of Aruba have a similar requirement for technical representatives,
The UAE, Oman, Qatar and India have started requiring structured airworthiness management.
Camo4Jets works for owners that do not have technical flight departments to ensure that the aircraft is compliant. Like other CAMOs it is then legally responsible for the aircraft’s airworthiness.
