Brunei Shell orders two AW139 helicopters

Contract includes simulator training at AgustaWestland Malaysia.

AgustaWestland announced that the Brunei Shell Petroleum Company (BSP) has signed a contract for two AW139 twin engine helicopters. The aircraft will be used to perform offshore transport missions from the Anduki base. The helicopters are expected to be delivered in mid 2013. The contract also includes a comprehensive power-by-the-hour support and training package which will be supplied through AgustaWestland Malaysia. Training will also be supplied with a Level D Full Flight Simulator through the Training Academy based in Malaysia.

This contract provides further evidence of the success of the best selling intermediate helicopter among all key Oil & Gas operators in Asia thanks to its outstanding performance, capabilities and safety standards. Through the full backing of AgustaWestland Malaysia’s regional support and training centre, BSP will be allowed to maximize the operational benefits provided by the AW139.”
