Belfast to produce components for Learjet 85 composite wing

Bombardier’s Belfast facility has been awarded the development and production of the wing of the new Learjet 85

Bombardier Belfast will undertake
the development and production of the advanced composite wing skin panels and
spar components of the new Learjet 85 business jet.

The final
assembly of the wings of the Learjet 85 will be undertaken at the new
Bombardier facility at Queretaro in Mexico.

The company
will produce the wing structures and spar components using its Resin Transfer
Infusion (RTI) process, currently being developed at Belfast for the CSeries airliner.
