Blueway orders another EC225 helicopter
Company orders a fourth EC225 for North Sea oil operations
Eurocopter has announced the order for a
fourth EC225 helicopter to Blueway for North Sea
oil support operation. Additionally, Eurocopter will help identify business
opportunities for the smaller EC155 B1 helicopters that also are in Blueway
fleet.
“Blueway is pleased to sign for the fourth
EC225, which will be operated in support of the Maersk Oil contract, as well as
for future opportunities in North Europe,”
said Jakob Bae, Blueway chief executive officer. “The helicopter will be based
in Denmark’s Esbjerg area, positioning
Blueway for additional opportunities in the oil and gas market.”
Blueway has provided helicopter services
since 1986, with activities in the oil and offshore, infrastructure,
environment and search and rescue sectors. Following its 2008 acquisition of
Danish helicopter company DanCopter, Blueway operates a fleet of some 25
rotary-wing aircraft.
