BACA chairman completes 50km trek for charity
BACA chairman Richard Mumford has completed a 50km trek in support of the charity RedR.
Mumford (pictured) took part in TrekFest, a trek around the English Peak District, to raise money for BACA’S chosen charity of the year – RedR – which provides training to relief organisations and aid workers throughout the world.
Mumford took 88,000 steps and climbed the equivalent of 525 floors throughout the day, and raised more than £1,500 for RedR in the process.
“I feel mechanically sound and just about airworthy but in need of a rest,” Mumford said after the trek. “I was thrilled by the money and profile raised for the charity, but it might not have been the most sensible way to prepare for Air Charter Expo at Biggin Hill next week!”
