AXIS Flight Training Systems has appointed a new executive team to ensure it is “primed” for development during 2018.

Christian Theuermann (pictured above) is leading the flight simulator manufacturer’s operations in Austria, focusing on the manufacturing and production of AXIS’ full flight simulators.

Jean-Luc Laydevant (pictured above) is the new head of AXIS Switzerland and is responsible for all commercial operations.

David Nolan (pictured above) is now in charge of AXIS Finance, the financial arm of the business.

The three were appointed by chairman and CEO Niall Olver, who is the founder and former CEO of ExecuJet.

He said: “With the industry currently facing a global pilot shortage, AXIS is ideally placed to help ATOs and airlines meet the demand, delivering cost-effective, world-class simulation. As an independent company we are able to listen closely to the market’s needs, responding quickly and crucially we do not compete with our customers. Under the direction of our newly appointed executive team, our engineers are ready to deliver the next steps for AXIS’ growth, including significant new product opportunities in the pipeline for 2018.

“AXIS is an extremely innovative company with a clear technological leadership position. Christian, Jean-Luc and David all bring a wealth of experience and industry knowledge to the team, and I am pleased to confirm that we will be able to pursue our growth strategy whilst continuing to provide our customers with the best possible service.”
