New executive airport in Texas is opened
Austin Executive Airport was opened last week during a ceremony held at the airport
As part
of Austin Executive’s US$33 million master plan, once complete, the airport
will have a Henriksen Jet Center, an FBO terminal building
with all the usual amenities, a 6,025-foot runway and taxiway, fuel farm and a
large corporate hangar which can accommodate up to Gulfstream

15 miles northeast of downtown Austin.
“It is a proud moment
for me, my family and the aviation community,” said Ron Henriksen. “For more than a decade, the state of Texas has been trying to build an airport in the Austin area. There is no
doubt that it will be a draw for further economic growth, and will improve
aviation infrastructure throughout the state.”
