Atlantic Aviation buys Sint Maarten FBO from ExecuJet

Atlantic Aviation management team now have to travel to the world's most beautiful airports for work.
Atlantic Aviation has bought ExecuJet’s fixed-base operation at Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM) in Sint Maarten.
ExecuJet acquired its first Caribbean FBO at St. Maarten in 2016. In May this year it opened an expanded facility in the airport’s new general aviation location. ExecuJet was acquired by Luxaviation in 2015.
“Providing our customers with an expanded international footprint while strengthening our Caribbean network are important goals for us,” said Jeff Foland, chief exec of Atlantic Aviation. Atlantic Aviation also has FBOs in Grand Cayman and Turks and Caicos. “Our prestigious, new Sint Maarten location allows us to accomplish both – providing customers in the region with seamless access to Atlantic’s industry-leading service and hospitality.”
The St Maarten FBO was one of ExecuJet’s most profitable locations.
Atlantic Aviation is widely rumoured to be for sale. KKR acquired Atlantic Aviation for $4.475 billion in cash and assumed debt in 2021. In 2025 alone, Atlantic Aviation has added FBOs in Santa Fe, New Mexico; Kalispell, Montana; Nashville, Tennessee as well as signing new agreements and committing to new building projects. It also bought Ferrovial Vertiports an eVTOL infrastructure consulting company.
“We’re excited about this acquisition for a multitude of reasons – beginning with Princess Juliana International Airport’s role as critical aviation infrastructure for the region and as the primary gateway to marquee destinations such as St. Barts,” says Bobby Femia, vice president, mergers and acquisitions, Atlantic Aviation. “ExecuJet’s first-class operation at SXM, their market leading presence, and their brand-new facilities on the island further elevate this opportunity. Together, these attributes create a strong complement to our existing Caribbean operations and our expanding international footprint.”
