ARINC integrates into new division of Rockwell Collins
ARINC is being integrated into the Information Management Services division of Rockwell Collins, after Rockwell Collins acquired the company in December 2013.
The Information Management Services division (IMS) is headed by Jeff Sanderski as the senior vice president and was formed in January 2014. It has just over 2,200 employees based in four locations, Annapolis and Houston in the US, London and Singapore.
Business aviation accounts for around 22 per cent of the total of the division and Sanderski sees business aviation growing as more business aircraft are equipped with the new Rockwell Collins/ARINC Direct applications.
The division is responsible for air to ground voice and data networks, ground to ground networks and business aviation flight support services.
It is believed that the ARINC company name will remain and will become a sub brand of Rockwell Collins.
