Aon has hired six people for its general aviation group which brokers insurance for clients that own corporate jets or helicopters and companies that operate them.

“Since creating our specialist general aviation team six years ago, we have steadily grown this sector of our business,” says Simon Knechtli, Aon Global UK aviation and aerospace practice leader. “Our new team members bring additional specialist understanding of this industry.”

The six consist of: Jeremy Chase, a specialist aviation broker with over 30 years experience who joins from Marsh; Shannon Christie, a client manager, who has been in insurance for 20 years and joins from Willis; Matthew Morris who joins from Amlin and also has worked in insurance for 30 years; Simon Brunsdon, a client manager, who will handle American clients, who worked at Sturge, Gallaghers and Marsh; James Whiter, an aviation broker, who worked at HSBC for six years; and Luci Cebrian, a client manager, moving from Aon’s marine team.

All are based in Aon’s London office.
