Albinati Aeronautics gains Swiss CAT II approvals for Bombardier Global fleet
Albinati Aeronautics fleet of bombardier Global family aircraft has been given CAT II landing approvals by the Swiss authorities.
The Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) approval has been given at company level, with Albinati’s pilots now able to land in CAT II conditions at any airport with the required ground equipment.

The approvals, to be reviewed on a six monthly basis, mean that the company’s pilots have greater flexibility landing in adverse weather conditions, with a decision height reduced to 100 feet, and runway visual range reduced to 300 meters.
“Thanks to this advantage, Albinati Aeronautics can now fly its customers to their desired destination even in reduced visibility conditions and in full safety” the company said in a press release.
Albinati Aeronautics mixed fleet of Bombardier Global family aircraft includes Maltese and Swiss registered Global 5000, XRS, Global Express and Global 6000s.
