11 September 2018 – AirGO Private Airline, a boutique charter operator and provider of the Piaggio Avanti aircraft, announced at ACE18 held at London Biggin Hill Airport that it has received approval from Pratt & Whitney Canada for an increase in Time-Between-Overhaul (TBO) interval for its PT6A-66B and other similar engines in its fleet of Avanti II and Avanti EVO aircrafts operated under AirGO Private Airline GmbH.

The interval increases from 3,600 hours to 4,100 hours, or 12 years (whichever occurs first). This TBO recommendation applies to engines operated and maintained by AirGO for more than 50% of the current recommended TBO interval until the fleet’s overhaul.

The approval is valid for all of AirGO’s five aircraft it currently manages, as well as for new Avanti EVO orders placed by the company.

“This TBO increases the engine lifetime by 14% and reduces maintenance cost for our Avanti II and EVO owners significantly,” said AirGO CEO Daniela Flierl. “I am very proud of this achievement for our Avanti fleet, which reflects our continued focus on product improvement and business commitment to ensure our customers are operating the most cost-efficient and optimal aircraft in this segment.”
