Aircell, the provider of in-flight internet services for business jets and commercial aircraft, has raised another $35 million in equity from its investors.

Aircell, the provider of in-flight internet services for business jets and commercial aircraft, has raised another $35 million in equity from its investors.

“2010 was the year Inflight Internet went mainstream and Aircell established its leadership in this exciting new mobile Internet venue,” said Michael Small, Aircell president and CEO.  “Since securing our exclusive spectrum license in 2006, we’ve raised more than $500M.”

Aircell says the money will be used to invest in both business jet and commercial aircraft products.

The company’s investors include private equity firm Ripplewood Holdings and Blumenstein/Thorne Information Partners.

Aircell says that it has nearly 6,000 business jet customers.
