Aircell to supply the Travel Management Company with Gogo Biz
The Travel Management Company’s fleet of Hawker 400XP and 800XP business jets will be fitted with Aircell Gogo Biz in-flight internet.
The Travel Management Company’s fleet of Hawker 400XP and 800XP business jets will be fitted with Aircell Gogo Biz in-flight internet.
The in-flight internet upgrade should be completed by October 2013. TMC operates the largest, privately-owned fleet of Hawker 400XP and Hawker 800XP charter aircraft in the United States. It first introduced Gogo Biz in-flight Internet service aboard its fleet of mid-size Hawker 800XP’s in 2012.
”In an extremely competitive charter market, the customer experience is a big part of what differentiates TMC,” said Scott Wise, TMC general manager.
“With in-flight Internet available on more and more charter aircraft, it’s become a must-have amenity – you have to offer it or you’re going to lose business. Gogo Biz has impacted our business very positively in the mid-size segment. We’re excited to add it to our light jets and have it available on our entire fleet,” Wise concluded.
John Wade, Aircell’s executive vice president and general manager, said “TMC is an aggressive company that continues to leverage Gogo Biz in-flight Internet as a competitive differentiator in the charter business. For many years, in-flight connectivity was the exclusive domain of ultra-long range business aircraft. Today’s announcement puts an exclamation point on the fact that times have changed – it’s now practical and affordable enough for light jets.”
