Following England’s qualification for the 2014 FIFA Football World Cup in Brazil, Air Charter Service has reported an increase in inquires for charter bookings to Brazil next summer.

Matt Purton, commercial jets director, said: “ACS is already taking requests for charter flights to, and within, Brazil. At this stage they are just initial enquiries as the teams do not yet know in which cities they will be playing, and won’t do until the draw for the groups takes place on December 6th. It is, however, important to have initial plans in place before then.”

“The competition will have matches in 12 different cities, with distances of up to 3,000 kilometres to contend with. That’s a long coach ride! Chartering aircraft is often the most sensible way to travel from one match to the next. Over the past few World Cups we have arranged hundreds of flights for fans, sponsors and teams and expect even more demand next summer,” added Purton “Our local office in São Paulo will help us coordinate everything on the ground when the tournament kicks off on June 12th.”
