Air BP folds RocketRoute into Alyssum Group with Victor
RocketRoute, the digital flight planning and concierge platform, has been acquired by Alyssum Group, the owner of online charter company Victor.
Air BP – through its BP Ventures investment group – is a significant investor in both companies and has supported the acquistion. Victor and RocketRoute had announced a partnership in November.
“Alyssum Group is dictating a new phase of consolidation in our industry,” said Clive Jackson, founder and CEO of Alyssum Group.
Alyssum Group is trying to build a digital marketplace for brokers, operators and owners of aircraft. Last week BBA Aviation announced that it was joining BP Ventures in an $18 million B Series funding round.
“We are on a new, faster, heading towards our goal of a digitally-driven industry – delivering greater levels of business but with reduced operating costs for operators and service providers alike,” said Kurt Lyall, co-founder, RocketRoute.
The merger follows on from World Fuel Services’s acquisition of Avinode, the leading charter market in December 2014 and the joint venture between Rockwell Collins and Stellar Labs.
