The first GrandNew light twin helicopters to operate in France and Monaco have been delivered to two different parts of SkyGroup. Both will be used for passenger flights.
Monacair, a subsidiary of SkyGroup, will operate the helicopter based in the Principality of Monaco. SkyCam, a French subsidiary operating 15 light-helicopters, is expected to operate the French helicopter. Sky Maintenance Services of France, another subsidiary, will support the two helicopters.
GrandNew helicopters are the latest version of AugustaWestland’s Grand helicopters. They feature new avionics technology, including synthetic vision, and are compatible with the latest global positioning system-based navigation requirements.
AugustaWestland launched the model in February and have already sold more than 50 GrandNew.
