Aerocardal welcomes L 410 NG to fleet
Chile-based air ambulance, charter and cargo operator Aerocardal has launched its Czech-built turboprop aircraft L 410 NG into operation.
Following a fully booked roadshow, including visiting the recent NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas and stops in Colombia and Brazil, the aircraft touched down at its home base, Santiago International Airport last week.
The aircraft was welcome in an inauguration ceremony attended by Petr Holoubek, deputy commercial director of OMNIPOL Group, and Tomas Novak, commercial manager of Aircraft Industries.
“OMNIPOL is proud to partner with Aerocardal to take the L 410 NG to the next level in the South and Central America,” said Holoubek. “Rich experience and a profound understanding of the local markets makes Aerocardal a perfect partner in expanding the L 410 NG presence and meeting our long-term vision for the region.”
The L 410 NG is an enhanced version of the L 410 UVP-E20, offering extended flight range and more cargo capacity with enlarged luggage compartments. The L 410 NG also features Garmin G3000 glass cockpit avionics.
The aircraft offers a lifespan of 45,000 flight hours, and can be configured to take passengers, carry cargo, perform military duties and even conduct medical evacuations in tundra, water, deserts or jungles.
Aerocardal has also been appointed as the strategic sales partner of L 410 NG aircraft and other aerospace and defense sectors of the OMNIPOL Group in selected countries of South and Central America.
“Our partnership with OMNIPOL Group and the introduction of the L 410 NG to Chile represents a key milestone for Aerocardal,” said Ricardo Real, CEO of Aerocardal. “We look forward to introducing this aircraft to our valued customers, offering them a reliable, versatile, and technologically advanced solution that corresponds to the dynamic needs of our region.”
