Bombardier announces Global 7000 and Global 8000 aircraft
Bombardier grows its Global familly with two new jets
Bombardier has launched the Global 7000 and Global 8000 two new large business jets.
“The Global 7000 and Global 8000 jets will give our customers the ability to reach more destinations non-stop than ever before, delivering unprecedented levels of performance, flexibility, and comfort,” said Steve Ridolfi, president, Bombardier Business Aircraft. “There has never been a better time to “Be Global”.”
The Global 7000 aircraft will have a four-zone cabin and a high-speed cruise of M 0.90. Bombardier says it will have a range of 7,300nm (13,520 km) at M 0.85. This means it will be able to fly London-Singapore, New York-Dubai or Beijing-Washington with 10 passengers without stopping to refuel. Bombardier says it will enter service in 2016.
Bombardier says the Global 8000 will have a longer range than any other business jet. It says the Global 8000 will be capable of flying from Sydney to Los Angeles, Hong Kong to New York and Mumbai to New York non-stop with eight passengers at M0.85. The first aircraft will be delivered in 2017.
Bombardier’s Global aircraft family now consists of four aircraft models: the Global 5000, Global Express XRS, Global 7000 and Global 8000.
