Serving as Guardian Jet’s Global Head of Sales and as a member of the company’s senior leadership team, Gabriel Bastos is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with the company’s aircraft brokerage and consulting clients in the United States and abroad.

Among his responsibilities, he leads a team of a dozen sales VPs positioned in satellite offices that are located both domestically and internationally. In his role, Gabriel oversees his team’s sales targets, achievements and client relationships.

With an extensive background in both aviation and finance, Gabriel has served a wide range of clients throughout his career. Prior to joining Guardian Jet, he enjoyed a successful career with the global aircraft manufacturer Embraer Executive Jets, located in the U.S. and in five international countries.

From 2012-19, he served as Embraer’s Regional Sales Director. Based in Mexico, he was responsible for new and preowned private jet sales in that country as well as in Brazil, Colombia and Central America. In 2016, Gabriel relocated to New York City, where he oversaw aircraft sales in the northeastern U.S. During his seven-year tenure at Embraer, he twice earned the company’s Top Performer Worldwide designation.

Previously, Gabriel was a Business Trader for Cisa Trading, the international wholesale trading company based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Earlier, he worked in the finance industry as a Structured Business Sales Analyst in Itaú Unibanco, also based in Sao Paulo. In addition, he served as a Treasury Specialist at BMW Brazil Ltda., and in the Wholesale Credit and Risk Management Department at BMW Financial Services.

Gabriel earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Fundaçao Armando Álvares Penteado, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, as well as a post-graduate certificate in financial management at Ibmec Sao Paulo. He also honed his negotiation skills through training at Columbia Business School in New York City.

Gabriel serves on the board of directors for the RedTail Flight Academy. Based at the New York Stewart International Airport, RFA is a Tuskegee Airmen-inspired pipeline to career possibilities for underrepresented people of color.

A native of Brazil, he is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English. He is married and has two young children. Traveling and exploring new places is his family’s hobby.

Darren is the CEO of Asian Corporate Aviation Management Pte. In 2008, Mark joined Action Aviation as Sales Director and worked closely with the company’s Founder, Captain Hamish Harding. As President of Jetcraft Asia since 2012, David Dixon is responsible for optimizing sales strategies and managing operations throughout Asia. A leading global authority on the private aviation sector, David has lived and worked in Asia in aircraft sales for more than 40 years and has more than five decades of aerospace industry experience. David joined Jetcraft following a long an over 30-year career with Bombardier’s Business and Commercial Aircraft divisions. In 1997 he was awarded the MBE – Member of the Order of the British Empire distinction by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth for his contribution to British exports. He is also a former Vice Chairman of the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA) an organisation he helped establish. David is originally from the UK and resides in Hong Kong.

He is the Chair of Vedder Price Business Aviation and Regulation Sub-Practice Group, the Chair of the National Business Aviation Association’s Tax Committee and a frequent speaker on various business aircraft and regulatory topics. Alex Jiao holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and a Master’s degree in Economics, focused on Global Economics.
He has a strong engineering background and extensive experience in strategic business development within Asia’s business aviation sector as well as a demonstrated history of working in China’s commercial airline industry in the earlier part of his career. Most recently he served as a director at UAS an International Trip Support Company headquartered in Dubai, UAE of which Deer Jet (Beijing) Co. Ltd is the majority shareholder. Prior to UAS he was the Director of Strategy & Business Development for Deer Jet (Beijing) Co. Ltd the largest business aviation service provider in the Asia Pacific region which also includes the largest FBO network in Greater China, before being appointed CEO of Hongkong Jet.

Thomas Klaster

Thomas Klaster is a Partner at McXperts.Swiss – Aviation Asset Strategy | Valuation & Forensic Advisory. He is a senior aerospace engineer, former German Air Force fighter pilot and General Staff Officer, and a Certified Fraud Examiner.

He has more than 30 years of operational, technical, regulatory and leadership experience across military and civil aviation. He holds a German engineering degree in aerospace technology, a Master of Science in International Systems Management and a Commercial Pilot Licence.

During his military career, Thomas served as a fighter pilot and weapons systems officer in the German Air Force. As a General Staff Officer, his responsibilities included operational planning, fleet operations, international cooperation, risk assessment and security strategy.

Following his military service, he held senior positions in civil aviation, including Flight Operations Manager, Accountable Manager and Compliance Monitoring Manager within EASA-regulated organisations. He has managed complex operational, continuing-airworthiness and compliance projects and advised operators conducting AOC, specialised and international aviation operations.

At McXperts.Swiss, Thomas works on technical and operational due diligence, organisational assessments, regulatory remediation, aircraft and records reviews, expert reports, international arbitration assignments and complex aviation disputes.

As a Certified Fraud Examiner, he applies forensic methodology to transaction integrity, records reliability, internal-control effectiveness and aviation-specific risk. Where required, this includes investigating potential misrepresentation, procurement irregularities, incomplete records and fraud indicators.

He supports owners, operators, investors and legal counsel in court and arbitral proceedings where engineering facts, operational circumstances, organisational responsibility and documentary or financial evidence must be considered together.

His particular strength lies in combining aerospace engineering, flight-operational experience, regulatory oversight, organisational analysis and forensic examination.

Ms. Jenny is the Vice Chair of Sino Jet and currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA), having previously held the position of Chair from 2017 to 2019 and again from 2022 to 2024. She has also been invited to be a member of the ACJ Customer Advisory Board.

Under her leadership, Sino Jet has managed the largest fleet in the Asia-Pacific for seven consecutive years and has been awarded the “World’s Leading Private Jet Company” at the World Travel Awards for four consecutive years, followed by two consecutive years as “World’s Leading Business Aviation Company”. Lance has obtained his Bachelor’s Degree aviation with a major in Air Traffic Management from the Civil Aviation University of China before starting his aviation career.

Lance owns more than 12 years’ experience working with client relations and business development in the private jet industry. He arrived at Hongkong Jet as a Client Relations Executive in 2016 and has advanced through progressively more responsible positions in client relations and business development departments over the years. He brings to Hongkong Jet diversified and rich experience in business development which will provide us a sustainable long-term growth as Director of Business Development.

Rachel McKay

Rachel McKay is Managing Partner of McXperts.Swiss – Aviation Asset Strategy | Valuation & Forensic Advisory and a publicly appointed and sworn expert for aircraft, specialising in business and corporate aircraft above 5,700 kg maximum take-off weight.

She has more than 50 years of aviation experience covering aircraft engineering, maintenance, continuing airworthiness, flight operations, financial management, aircraft valuation, asset strategy, technical investigation and expert evidence.

Her professional background includes aircraft maintenance training at Lufthansa Technik, hands-on experience with civil and military aircraft, technical and commercial responsibilities at Airbus and senior international financial management functions.

Rachel has personally inspected and assessed more than 100 aircraft types, including military platforms, airliners, large business jets and head-of-state aircraft. She concluded active flying in 2012, while continuing to apply that operational perspective to aircraft assessment, technical investigations and expert evidence. She also served as Accountable Manager of an EASA Part-CAMO organisation.

Her work today combines aircraft valuation and aviation asset strategy with expert assignments in court proceedings and international arbitration, technical and operational investigations, organisational assessments and dispute support. She is regularly involved in matters concerning aircraft condition, maintenance history, airworthiness, technical responsibility, damage, repair consequences, diminution in value and the assessment of complex technical, documentary and financial evidence.

Rachel also leads independent assessments for airlines, operators, owners and investors, including assignments arising from significant regulatory findings. These engagements examine governance, compliance monitoring, continuing airworthiness, maintenance control, operational interfaces, records integrity and the effectiveness of corrective actions. They may also include the development of regulatory remediation roadmaps and structured implementation plans.

A central element of her work is the correlation of technical, operational, documentary and financial evidence to support reliable decisions, protect asset value and identify material inconsistencies or risk indicators.

Her opinions and appraisals are relied upon by courts, banks, leasing companies, aircraft owners, operators, insurers and legal counsel in Europe and internationally.

Chris Miller

Chris Miller is Managing Director – Aviation at Bay Point Advisors, leading the firm’s aviation finance vertical under the Shearwater Global Capital brand. He brings over 30 plus years of aviation industry experience, including founding Shearwater Global Capital in 2014 to provide specialized asset-based lending to business aviation borrowers worldwide. He previously served as Managing Partner at JSSI Aviation Capital and led Guggenheim Partners’ Business Aircraft Investment Group, delivering asset-based financing solutions to borrowers across the globe.

Before entering the business world, Miller served in the United States Marine Corps as an F/A-18 Hornet pilot. He is an accredited Senior Aircraft Appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers and a past President of the National Aircraft Finance Association. He holds a B.A. from Denison University and an M.B.A. from Columbia University.
