UBS: Financing large jets worldwide

“We do not actively acquire new deals but are very responsive when our clients approach us,” says Johan Blitz, head of corporate aircraft finance at UBS (previously UBS Leasing) in Zurich. Blitz’s team works with both individual wealth management and corporate clients looking for aircraft finance and leasing.

It specialises in larger aircraft, with deals ranging from $10 million up to Airbus corporate jets and Boeing business Jets. UBS does not offer helicopter finance.

UBS finances aircraft for clients all over the world. Its corporate jet portfolio includes many clients from Eastern Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

As well as offering loans, finance leases and Islamic leases, the bank also arranges pre-delivery payment financing.

“We always focus on our clients, their wishes and their requirements,” says Blitz, “and we are an in-house resource available to the whole bank.”
