Tastefully Yours, the Atlanta based inflight catering business, has launched a range of short flight catering boxes.
The new service sees a shift away from menus offering heavy meals with larger portion sizes to lighter fare and smaller servings that require no onboard preparation or reheating.
Each menu choice has been planned by award winning Atlanta Chef Dominique Fallings in conjunction with the Tastefully Yours dedicated in-house nutritionist Heather Hibben and considers the increased number of requests for low fat, low salt and low cholesterol diets.
The catering boxes comprise breakfast, lunch and dinner options accompanied by lighter snacks.
In response to a growing demand of requests for items that are easy to self-serve in the absence of a flight attendant, meals have considered details such as ease of consumption and storage of packaging once finished.
Paula Kraft, founder of Tastefully Yours said: “With an increasing number of operators feeling the pinch and examining all costs Tastefully Yours set out to design catering that met the need for a fuss-free, yet delicious and nutritious meals at a cost-effective price point, that could be served cold and enjoyed by discerning and busy executives in-flight. The response has been extremely positive from operators and passengers to date. We plan to extend the menu to include an even greater range of dishes that will change seasonally according to availability of the best quality produce.”
