Jetcraft has appointed Todd Spangler as sales director covering Florida, Central and South America. Whilst last week The Air Charter Association’s (ACA’s) new chief executive, Glenn Hogben, took over from former head, Dave Edwards.

Spangler joins Jetcraft following a 25-year career in business aviation, including senior sales positions at Bombardier, Hawker Beechcraft and NetJets. As sales director for the Americas, Spangler will oversee Jetcraft’s partnerships in the region, including Aerolineas Ejecutivas and the Latin market in Florida and Texas.

Chad Anderson, President at Jetcraft, said : “While 2020 was undoubtedly challenging, the surge in aircraft transactions we witnessed in Q4 demonstrates the resilience of business aviation and the ability of our industry to attract a new generation of users during the Covid-19 recovery.

Over at the ACA, Hogben said he will work to ensure the organisation continues to “lead the industry and support its members through current challenges and into the future”.

Hogben joined The ACA in 2008 and was elected to the non-executive board in 2017, after years of support for the association. He previously held the position of deputy chair and was instrumental in creating the new Broker Qualification course. Outside of the association, Hogben has more than 17 years ’experience in aircraft charter, leasing and management after joining ACC Aviation in 2004.

Hogben said: “It is an honour to be appointed as chief executive of the ACA and I’m delighted to take on this role. 2020 was an unimaginably challenging year for our industry but it has been amazing to see an overwhelming demonstration of strength, innovation and adaptability that is very much part of our aviation ‘DNA’.

“The year-end also brought the final separation of the UK from the EU and although a positive trade deal was agreed, issues remain for non-scheduled operations and the charter industry.

Hogben added that the association has made great steps forward under his predecessor Dave Edwards ’leadership. “I am looking forward to taking up the gauntlet, working with all our members and our capable and dedicated non-exec board to ensure a successful and positive future for our industry.”
