Matthew Harvey has joined Gowling WLG as a partner. He joins from Dentons where he became a partner in 2000.

Harvey specialises in asset finance with a particular focus on helicopter and corporate jets.

“Matthew’s appointment is part of our drive to increase revenue and market share in sectors including financial institutions and aviation,” said Kirsty Barnes, head of banking and finance at Gowling WLG. “His experience in asset finance is truly global. This will be another significant boost to our practice following the addition of the team in Canada with the launch of Gowling WLG.”

Barnes heads a team of 11 banking and finance partners.

“The newly combined Gowling WLG is a dynamic firm, one which is growing and going places,” said Harvey. “I’m delighted to have joined at such an exciting time and am looking forward to working with the great team here.”

The firm became Gowling WLG on 22 February when Gowlings merged with Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co.
