Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services (LBAS) has been celebrating its 15 years anniversary. Today, LBAS is a leading supplier of MRO services to all Bombardier Learjet, Challenger and Global business jets.

In 1997, Lufthansa Technik and Bombardier Aerospace formed a joint venture and LBAS was the first service centre outside the United States serving Bombardier customers from Europe, Middle East and Africa.

ExecuJet Aviation Group joined as the third shareholder in 2005 and  complements the portfolio with excellent services for business jet  operators. Today, Lufthansa Technik owns 51%, Bombardier Aerospace 29% and ExecuJet Aviation Group 20% of LBAS.

Christoph Meyerrose, managing director of LBAS, thanked all the customers, the employees and business partners for the cooperation and looks optimistically to the future: “Our highly qualified, customer-oriented and extremely motivated employees as well as our outstanding products are the basis for the success of LBAS over the last years. We will continuously work on improving our products and innovation strength in the future.”

Dr Hans Schmitz, chairman of the Supervisory Board, complements: “I  am proud to highlight the successful development of LBAS. With a  combination of the highest quality standards and excellent service in business aviation, LBAS has succeeded in being chosen this year by  Bombardier and its customers to be the best worldwide Bombardier authorised service facility. This is a special distinction in the  fifteenth year of its existence.”
