Jet Edge engages  Redline to introduce Covid-19 safety protocol

As business aviation emerges from global lockdown and clients begin to return, Jet Edge has engaged Redline Assured Security to introduce new health and safety protocols to serve its fleet of more than 80 aircraft.

Developed to allow charter flights to safely travel across the globe during the Covid-19 pandemic, Redline protocols are being introduced to operating procedures to protect both travellers and flight crews.

Jet Edge CEO, Bill Papariella said: “In the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, nothing is more important to us than protecting the health and safety of our clients and team.”

Redline will produce screening and operational procedures for travellers to avoid the risk of transmitting or contracting Covid-19. This includes aircraft decontamination services before and after each flight as well as an additional interior treatment with an anti-microbial barrier called ClearCabin

Also included are pre-flight health assessments for flight crews and passengers, new operations practices that feature in-flight procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, maintenance exercises for every aircraft, amongst other guidelines to allow clients complete confidence while traveling.

The appointment of Redline came after Jet Edge monitored how the company organised the repatriation flight in February of cruise passengers aboard the Diamond Princess returning from Japan on behalf of the UK government.

Jet Edge’s chief commercial and marketing officer, Jonah Adler said: As our fleet of aircraft gets back in the air, Jet Edge could not be more pleased to partner with Redline. The protocols that have been developed will allow our clients to have the utmost confidence that they are utilising the safest private travel solution when they fly on our fleet.”

Established in 2006 Redline, which is part of Air Partner Company, specialises in providing government-standard security solutions and training for global aviation industry partners, corporations, and Critical National Infrastructure CNI.
