Jet Aviation, a subsidiary of Gulfstream’s holding company, is offering a G650 business jet for private charter, after adding the aircraft to the company’s US Part 135 air carrier certificate.

“We are thrilled to be one of a select few aircraft management companies to have a G650 on its air carrier certificate,” said Don Haloburdo, vice president and general manager, Jet Aviation Flight Services. “Just as our charter clients have varied requirements, we strive to expand our fleet and provide charter options to meet their needs. It is our pleasure to offer our clients the newest aircraft on the market for ultra-long-range charter trips.”

“The G650 is a state-of-the art aircraft that covers great distances at a faster speed,” said Jon Winthrop, vice president and managing director of the Van Nuys office. “We completed our trip from Teterboro, NJ, to Van Nuys in just 4 hours and 18 minutes. This is a testament to the quality of the aircraft and time-saving value for our clients.”

The G650 charter aircraft accommodates up to 13 passengers, sleeps five comfortably. The aircraft is equiped with an inflight enterment system including DVD player and connections for iPods and MP3 players. The aircraft also has flight phone and satellite communications.

The Gulfstream G650 can fly up to 7,000 nautical miles, so journeys such as Van Nuys to Madrid, Melbourne and Johannesburg, all non-stop can be flown.
