Gulfstream delivered 41 business jets to customers in the second quarter of 2015, three aircraft over the 38 aircraft delivered in Q2 2014.

A 27 percent increase in large cabin deliveries from 26 to 33 deliveries helped offset a 33 percent decline in mid-size cabin deliveries. Gulfstream classes G150s and G280s as mid-size cabin aircraft.

During the first half of 2015 Gulfstream has delivered four fewer aircraft than the same period in 2014. The slight decline is due to lower mid-size cabin deliveries, where three few aircraft were delivered.

The company also reported strong order intake interest during the quarter.

Speaking during parent company General Dynamics 2Q results Investor Relations call, chairman and CEO Phebe N. Novakovic said that the company had seen good demand for all models across the quarter.

“From an order perspective, Gulfstream enjoyed its best discrete second quarter since the second quarter of 2008. The end result is an approximate $1 billion increase in the Aerospace group funded backlog, with Gulfstream as the primary reason.” said Novakovic.

General Dynamics aerospace financial reporting includes both Gulfstream and Jet Aviation.
