Dassault delivered four fewer Falcon business jets in the first half of 2014 versus the same period of 2013. This is the second in a row that deliveries have fallen in the first six months.

Sales throughout the first half was strong, up by 40.7-percent over 2013, largely helped by new aircraft types launched towards the end of 2013 and earlier this year.

In October 2013 Dassault launched its new Falcon 5X twin-jet. In May this year it launched a new flagship model, the Falcon 8X.

Although deliveries for the first half of the year are down, Dassault is sticking to its guidance of 70 Falcon deliveries across the year.

Elsewhere in its first half results Dassault also announced that they had signed a deal to increase capacity at its Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport production and maintenance facilities with the purchase of land from SABENA Technics.

The new land will allow Dassault Falcon Service develop its Falcon 7X maintenance capacity in Bordeaux, and help alleviate saturation at its Paris Le Bourget facilities.
