It’s much easier to manage the deal efficiently and cost-effectively with complete information and a clear picture of the real deadlines. Think about process early on in the deal. Put your lawyer in touch with your corporate administration provider and your aircraft manager early on, they can get those aspects lined up in good time and take a lot of the admin burden off you. It can hold up closing if these aspects only receive attention after negotiation of the main documents.”

Watson’s broad range of finance experience includes aircraft finance-representing banks, lessors, airlines and manufacturers on debt and equity financing, cross-border leasing, export credit agency supported financing and structured financings such as JOLs and German KG structures-rail finance and leasing- including a major role on the reorganisation and sale of one of the three largest UK ROSCOs-ship finance-including a major role on a recent high-profile restructuring of a major shipping company-UK tax leasing involving various asset classes and general equipment finance. He also has experiece in leveraged finance and securitisation.
