French company DAHER-SOCATA has delivered the first two TBM 900 turboprops to customers at a ceremony held at Fantasy of Flight Park in Polk City, Florida.

The ceremony was hosted by Patrick Daher, chairman and CEO of DAHER; Stephane Mayer, CEO of DAHER-SOCATA; and Nicolas Chabbert, senior vice president of DAHER-SOCATA’s Airplane Business Unit.

One of the TBM 900’s first customers is Larry Glazer, who is also the chairman of the TBM Owners and Pilot Association (TBMOPA).

Glazer said: “Our organisation appreciates its excellent relationship with DAHER-SOCATA – which has been responsive to our requests and continued willingness to go the extra mile – or should I say kilometer – to make the customers happy.”

“The new TBM 900 is aligned with this commitment, and has everything a customer could expect. It incorporates an all-glass cockpit, cruises faster, climbs faster, is quieter, better looking and just plain sexier.”

The TBM 900 was officially unveiled last week at the DAHER-SOCATA headquarters in Tarbes, France

Following its 12 March unveiling in France and the Florida delivery ceremony, the TBM 900’s first public appearances will be at the SUN ‘n FUN International Fly-In & Expo, in Lakeland, Florida between 1-7 April and then at the AERO Friedrichshafen show in Germany from 9-12 April.
