TAG Farnborough Airport has been granted permission by the Animal Health and Veterinary Laboratories Agency to receive animals on inbound aircraft under the Pet Travel Scheme.

TAG Farnborough Airport’s terminal and hangars were used in the James Bond film, Quantum of Solace.

Passengers who travel into Farnborough Airport will have the chance to be accompanied by their pets while travelling in and out the airport from October 2013.

All pet travel will be subject to aircraft operator approval, and relevant animal checks. The pet travel service at TAG Farnborough

Roger Walker, director airport operations, TAG Farnborough Airport, said:  “We are pleased that this new regulation, allowing pets to travel inbound, is now in place. I am sure it will be popular with our customers who want to travel with their pets.”

Farnborough Airport, along with London Biggin Hill Airport, are the only airports in the vicinity of London, which are dedicated solely to business aviation.

It takes approximately 65 minutes by car to travel from Farnborough Airport into the square mile of London.
